Inspiration

So you eat Butter Chicken with Naan... Why not Pizza?

Ingredients

  • Chicken Marinade:
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt Butter Chicken Sauce:
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream

Steps

  1. Marinate the Chicken
  2. Combine chicken thighs with garlic powder, turmeric, salt, paprika, Kashmiri chili powder, garam masala, and Greek yogurt until evenly coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  3. Cook the Chicken
  4. Grill or pan-sear the marinated chicken until fully cooked and lightly charred. Let rest, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Make the Butter Chicken Sauce
  6. Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add tomato sauce and simmer for 3–4 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and cook until slightly thickened. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Stretch out the dough
  8. Par-Bake the Crust
  9. Top the stretched dough with a light layer of mozzarella. Bake in preheated oven with baking steel at 550°F for 4 minutes, until the crust begins to set and the cheese starts to melt.
  10. Add Toppings
  11. Remove crust from the oven. Spread the cooked butter chicken evenly over the base, add another layer of mozzarella, then spoon on extra butter chicken sauce.
  12. Final Bake
  13. Return to the oven and bake at 500°F / 260°C for 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and edges are golden and crisp.
  14. You can also just bake the pizza without parbaking!
  15. Finish & Serve
  16. Let pizza rest 1–2 minutes before slicing. Optionally garnish with fresh cilantro or extra sauce. Serve hot.
